Pregnancy Chiropractic Care in West Hartford

Greater Comfort and Safer Births

Chiropractic care is the quintessential healthcare modality for today’s pregnant mom. This safe and effective practice can optimize the space that the baby needs to develop over the course of pregnancy. While the mother’s center of gravity shifts forward, her pelvis and surrounding structures undergo many changes and adaptations. As a result, many women experience pain and discomfort in their back, hips, legs, and pubic area. Chiropractic care, specifically The Webster Technique, helps to prevent and diminish these common discomforts while allowing the baby to move into the ideal head down position for delivery. Moms who utilize The Webster Technique throughout pregnancy report safer easier births with fewer medical interventions.

The Webster Technique

Developed by Dr. Larry Webster, The Webster Technique is a specialized Chiropractic certification, assessment and adjustment for pregnant mothers. For over 40 years, this safe and gentle technique has been successful in providing proper pelvic balance for greater comfort and safer births. In addition, 85% of pregnancies have reported success in relieving intrauterine constraint, allowing the baby to get into the best possible position for birth. As a result, most of our referrals stem from reputable local birth professionals looking to help their patients have an exceptional pregnancy and birth experience.

Dr. Jessica Tagliarini is one of the most experienced Certified Chiropractors in Connecticut certified to perform the Webster Technique. She has had tremendous success both professionally and personally with the Webster Technique, teaches Prenatal Chiropractic nationally and would be honored to have the opportunity to help you.

When should I start using the Webster Technique?

It is never too early to start benefiting from Chiropractic care during pregnancy. Some mothers use it as preventive care, to avoid pain and optimize baby positioning. Others use it in crisis, to alleviate pain or assist in aligning the pelvis to allow a breech or transverse baby to move into the correct position for delivery. A special treatment table and pillows are utilized to comfortably accommodate for your growing belly throughout all nine months of pregnancy, even for twins.
